The soil and the bitumen in José Callado
Speechless before the turnerian shipwreck of the light, before the softened sea of the fog, one dares to think in the cut up god that inhabits the skin of Jose Callado's pictures. The alive strata become meat of landscape or nothing. A tree, lost in the interior siberian steppe, in the end of the world, looks at you in the eyes as a happy bitch. The bitumen surfs full speed for the devilish declines of the color: brown, ocher, black, ivory, white, dead green, torn yellow. The bitumen slips oneirically on a pre-raphaelite sediment, on a slime time. The dreams and the eyes of the one who looks are brown. There is a mountain in which the imagination is a flash of soil that flows towards the atmospheric and stony limits of the end of art.
